Home Networks
If you have more than two computers you may wish to link them to share files, printers and an internet connection.
If you have Broadband then your ISP may have provided you with a wireless router. (Confusingly BT call this a Home Hub) In that case all you need to do is to connect them to the router either wirelessly or with a cable. You can normally connect 4 computers by cable and many more wirelessly
If you only have a broadband modem which connects into a USB port, then you are limited to one computer at a time having Broadband. In this case I can install a wireless router so that all your computers can access the Internet and share files & printers.
There are times when wireless networks do not work. This may be because the distance between router and PC is too great or your house has stone walls which are opaque to wireless.
Sometimes wireless does not work because there is other equipment which is operating on the same radio frequency, for instance telephones and TV repeaters. However all these problems can be overcome. Give me a call and I will come to your home, advise on which is the best network for you, order the equipment and install it for you. All components are supplied at cost, I do not add any markup. You simply pay for our time.
